Description from their site: “On Saturday, September 25, the stretch
of the Feather River between Historic Downtown Oroville and the Feather
River Fish Hatchery will burst with fish-flavored activities during the
10th Annual Salmon Festival, a day of fun, food, music and information.
From
10:00 am-4:00 PM, the fish hatchery will celebrate the thousands of spawning
salmon that annually make their way from the ocean back to Oroville. Environmental
education, music, salmon tasting, tours of the processing plant, and kid's
games and activities highlight this free event.
Also that day, Historical Downtown Oroville will come alive with a pancake
breakfast, a certified farmer's market, live music, a craft fair, and clowns
and rides for the kids. These events take place from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. (Vendor

Across from
the hatchery at the Feather River Nature Center, guests can enjoy a continuation
of the Maidu Salmon Ceremony with live dancing by local Native Americans
and free fish-tasting all day.
A free shuttle to transport
people between events will be available from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Other events that celebrate salmon are happening, too. On Sept. 25-28,
the Maidu Salmon Ceremony will offer Salmon Camp and demonstrations of
spear fishing. These events take place at Riverbend Park in Oroville.”
